Hong Kong has long been known for its limitless range of attractions, from tantalizing culinary experiences to a unique local culture and, of course, unbeatable shopping destinations. But for Hong Kong newbies, the densely populated and bustling city can be nothing if not intimidating.

Catering to this greenhorn traveler, from September 1 to December 31 the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong will roll out its new “Insider Hong Kong” package, designed to lead guests on private guided tours of the city. Guests can select from a choice of four, four hour guided tours: a Food Tour, taking them through Hong Kong’s bustling food markets and dried fish area; a Cultural Tour exploring the Bird Garden, Flower Market, and Gold Fish Street; an Art Tour which immerses visitors in Hong Kong’s emerging contemporary art scene; and a Shopping Tour, indulging guests in luxury shopping and a visit to the Ladies and Jade markets.

Tours are available in English, Mandarin, German, French, Spanish, and Italian, and include complimentary breakfast in the Clipper Lounge or Cafe Causette. The Insider Hong Kong package is available for a limited time only, and requires a minimum booking of two nights. Rooms start at HK$4,900 (US$632) per night, subject to 10% percent service charge, subject to availability.
