Brand To Watch: Nisiss

Hailing from Zhuhai, over the past several years the Chinese fashion label Nisiss has gradually established itself as one of the more interesting domestic brands to watch. Known for its stripped-down approach to fashion and eye-popping price tags, Nisiss currently operates boutiques in some of the country’s leading shopping hotspots, among them Xintiandi Style in Shanghai, Beijing’s Sanlitun Village, and Guangzhou’s Taikoo Hui. Inspired by everything from traditional Chinese literati paintings to the “East-meets-West” aesthetic of labels like Vivienne Tam, Shanghai Tang and Shiatzy Chen, the Guangzhou-based designers at Nisiss are looking to build a high-end mainland Chinese fashion label that can give top international players a run for their money.
